On March 21, 2011 Today's Outlook celebrated the announcement of the launch of its Qatar edition (due out in May) by hosting a dinner reception at the residence of the U.S. Ambassador to Qatar, His Excellency Joseph LeBaron, in Doha. The dinner was held in the gardens, under the stars, and was attended by 140 guests representing a broad spectrum of both public and private market sectors in Qatar.
The evening kicked off with a social hour followed by a welcome presentation by Ambassador LeBaron. “I am very happy to have this opportunity to host the launch of Today’s Outlook,” he said. “As you probably know, it has companion publications in Lebanon and Kuwait, and the decision of adding Qatar is so appropriate. This is a high-end magazine, focused on human interest and inspirational stories not only in Qatar, but from around the world. This magazine will capture and present stories that will in so many ways parallel the issues and events that are underway here in Qatar – stories that are filled with dynamism, excitement, and vision.”
Ambassador LeBaron added: “When I think about this country, one word that comes immediately to mind is vision. Qatar has it all. It has the vision, and it has the resources to accomplish the vision. I congratulate Today’s Outlook in pursuing their vision by choosing Qatar as the next location for the publication of its magazine, and I am honored to have you here to join us tonight in the launch of Today’s Outlook.”
Editor-in-Chief, Ghana Harb Conord, thanked Ambassador LeBaron for his kind words, as well as the many guests for their participation and support in making the launch successful. She also presented a brief video on Today’s Outlook, offering a glimpse into the history and achievements of the magazine over the last 15 years, and highlighting the hundreds of exclusive, one-on-one interviews the magazine has conducted with heads of state, members of royal families, business tycoons, entertainers, politicians, sports figures and international celebrities.
Since its inception in 1996, Today’s Outlook has continuously featured positive personal success stories through exclusive interviews with successful people from around the world. The magazine will continue to help inspire readers, this time through its Qatar edition, by bringing more inspirational stories to the forefront through exclusive interviews with Qatari leaders, entrepreneurs, and artists.
